We are looking to add to our small and friendly team based at our premises located in Wrexham city centre. This position is being offered as a full time or part time position based on the versatility of the successful candidate.

Job Description:

Ideally, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-orientated Financial Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our team in Wrexham. The ideal candidate will have an AAT qualification and a strong background in financial administration and bookkeeping. As a Financial Accounts Admin / Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and maintaining the financial stability of our organization. You will be aiding external accountants in getting information collected for reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Process and reconcile invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures

Desired experience and qualifications

  • AAT qualification is required.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software particularly Sage and Xero
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
