Wrexham Lager Beer Co Ltd are looking for an experienced Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise our logistics and supply chain operations. An exciting time to join this family owned company and assist in taking this local brand global.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics processes, and industry best practices. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance across the supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise the company's logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Oversee the procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution of materials and products over multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with internal production, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment and coordination across the supply chain.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to secure favourable terms and pricing.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the performance of the supply chain.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards related to logistics and supply chain management, including HMRC rules and guidelines.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimise stock levels while minimising excess inventory at multiple sites
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and other external partners to ensure reliable and efficient supply chain operations.

Qualifications and experience desired but not essential

  • Supply Chain Management qualification
  • Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management along with a strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics processes, and best practices.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to logistics and supply chain management within the alcohol / drinks industry with a focus on HMRC regulations
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential and familiarisation with Xero and Brewman software packages are desirable.
